Phlebotomy

 
 

(Course: CEI-131A)

This is a 1 semester certificate program designed to train entry-level students for drawing blood in hospitals and doctors' offices. 

Students who apply for the Phlebotomy Program must meet the following requirements:

  1. Completed application
  2. Official copy of high school transcript or Official GED passing scores
  3. TABE Test
  4. ACT score of 16 or higher will be accepted in place of the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) test.  ACT test not required for admission.
  5. Copy of Drivers License
  6. Social Security Card
  7. Immunization Record showing:
    1. MMR
    2. Hepatitis B series (can be completed after entry to program)
    3. Varicella or chicken pox shot or titers (can be completed after entry to program)
    4. 2-step TB skin test
    5. Flu Vaccine
